Our Patients
The Challenge
I Need Specialty Medical Care and Don't have Insurance or the Money to Pay
Project Access provides access to specialty medical care at no cost to the residents of our 21-county service area in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, who lack health insurance and are unable to afford the medical care they need.
Project Access has over 800 participating medical providers and a network of care that includes hospitals, community clinics, health care centers, physician’s offices, and specialty care providers.
The solution
Appalachian Mountain Project Access
Appalachian Mountain Project Access receives direct referrals from providers, health departments, community clinics, and faith-based centers for patients who are uninsured and have specialty care needs. Our specialty care coordination is multifaceted and allows us to provide a single point of contact for both patients and all the providers involved in their care.

Testimonials
“When I found out that I had cancer on my face, I really did not know what to do. I tried to cover it up with make-up, but it would bleed through, so I stayed inside away from other people. I was referred to Project Access and they helped me get the surgery. Project Access changed my life. Thank you!”
Sarah L.
“Project Access has given me phenomenal and caring support thru the difficulties after my cancer diagnosis. I am more than grateful for the kindness and the assistance they have helped me with.”
